Shift in the ESL Classroom: Effectiveness of Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) in English as a Second Language (ESL) Settings

The advancement of the mobile devices has created several benefits to humankind, extending them in field education as well. Since these are generally used by young generation, it becomes hard be neglected using language learning process. use applications for various purposes is commonly experienced Sri Lankan context Although frequently written and oral discourses, phrasal verbs (PVs) subject excluded if correct challenging English a Second Language (ESL) learners. Therefore, this research intends inspect efficacy teaching PVs via one applications, since prevalent society novel method which different from traditional done ESL classrooms. Thirty undergraduates were selected divided into two groups 15 each. Pre-test was given both first they not prior instructions subject. They had their prevailing knowledge on complete test. For post-tests, classroom controlled group within hour experimental guided application.
